Eden-Mrs. Janice Clifford Beasley Blake, 66, died on Friday, March 13, 2009 at her
home.

Mrs. Blake was born in Chatham County to the late James Clifford and Nell Dees
Beasley. She was a member of the Port Wentworth Pentacostal Church and had worked
for many years as a waitress at Taylor's Restaurant. In addition to her parents, she was
also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Blake and four sisters.

Survivors include her children, Eugene Carlyle "Skipper" Blake, Jr. (Nancy), Janice
Eugenia Howard (Thomas), Katherine Nell Blake and Vanessa Faith Blake, all of Eden;
grandchildren, Janice Nicole, Jamie, Dani and Maria; great-grandchildren, Serina and
Jonathan; sisters, Audrey, Diane, Loyua and Sharon; brother, Cohen and many nieces and
nephews.

The visitation for Mrs. Blake will be from 3-8 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the
Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.

The funeral to honor Mrs. Blake will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2009 in the
chapel of the funeral home. Rev. Steve McCoy and Mr. Charles Bell will officiate. Stacy
Bell will sing and the pallbearers will be Dean Higgonpotham, William Allen, Dewayne
Keen, Ricky Keen, Eric Bell and Lance Hendrix. Burial will follow at Gravel Hill
Cemetery.
