Janice Marie (Fulton) Monroe, "Jan", 87, of Rincon, Georgia has gone home to be with her Lord, passing away on July 27, 2024.

Jan grew up in Knapp Creek, NY and lived in Bolivar, NY, Ceres, NY, Cincinnati, OH and Mt. Dora, FL before moving to Georgia. Jan was an avid card player and loved teaching others new games, whether it was neighbors, friends, children or grandchildren. She also enjoyed knitting, from blankets to place mats.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Robert Monroe, her parents Clarence and Mildred Fulton, and siblings Patricia Fulton Canary and Richard Fulton.

Survivors include her sons Dennis Monroe (Amy), Philip Monroe (Dr. Donna Woelfel), Gregory Monroe (Margaret Kennedy), Thomas Monroe and Kevin Monroe (Terri), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Jan and Bob at their church (St. John's Lutheran Church in Rincon, GA) as part of St. John's service on Sunday, August 11th, beginning at 9:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be given to Pruitt Health Hospice-Savannah, Effingham Care and Rehab Center or the charity of your choice
