Janice Kay Riley

Mrs. Janice Kay Riley, 67, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at her home.

Kay will be missed by her husband, Richard T. Riley; sons, Truman Hill and Aron Hill; Stephany Ross; grandchildren, Miles Hill, Caitlynn Hill, and Madisyn Ross; brother, Bernie Jarriel, Jr. (Tammy); sister, Kristina Scott; several nieces and nephews.

Kay was born in Savannah, Georgia and was preceded in death by her parents, Bernie Franklin Jarriel, Sr. and Edith Pitman Jarriel, and a sister, Valerie Susan Jarriel. Kay was employed at the Baptist Health Hospital in Jacksonville where she touched so many in her own way and had the respect of all of her co-workers. She enjoyed time spent with her ladies’ group and always wanted to help others, She loved her cats, the outdoors, traveling, but most of all, her family.

The graveside funeral and burial to honor Kay’s life will be on Sunday, March, 1, 2026 at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim, Georgia.
