Springfield – Janice Tatum Thrift, 70 passed away December 13, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
The Savannah native was a former member of White Bluff Presbyterian Church and current member of Springfield United Methodist Church and the Bible Studies Sunday School Class. She was a homemaker, enjoyed sewing, cooking, and was an effortless entertainer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ralph and Ida White Tatum.
Survivors include her husband, Earl N. Thrift; children, Angela K. Mills, Richard E. Mills, Jr., Pamela Jean Salter (Art), Kenneth Randall Thrift (Jenny), Earlene H. VanWinkle (John), Elmer Keith Thrift (Lesha), Patricia Waters (Mike), Becky Madden (Chris), and Kelly Brannen (Adam); sisters, Marsha T. Buckley (Glynn) and Pamela Schiveree (Jack); 29 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at Springfield United Methodist Church followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m.
Inurnment will be at 3 p.m. Monday, December 16, 2019 at White Bluff Presbyterian Church Memorial Gardens.
