Janis R. Lane Dorney
Janis R. Lane Dorney, 41, of Savannah, GA, formerly from Hamilton, NJ, went to be with the Lord on May 29, 2011 at Memorial Health in Savannah.
She was born February 1, 1970 in Trenton, NJ. She was a loving wife, mother, and daughter. She cared about people and especially dogs. She would often go to the animal shelter and walk the dogs and if she knew a dog need a home she was right there. She loved her 3 dogs, Bruiser, Rocky, and Madison. She enjoyed going on motorcycle rides, cooking new recipes even though she couldn't eat.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Bill Dorney of Savannah, GA; her parents, Kenneth and Marlene Lane of Springfield, GA; her son, Aaron Wilson of Springfield, GA; brothers, Kenneth Lane, Jr. (Karol) of Hamilton, NJ, Barry Lane of Jenson Beach, FL, nephews, Craig Crawley of Delran, NJ and Kyle Lane of Hamilton, NJ; mother-in-law, Sandra Dorney; and step-sons, Billie and Anthony Dorney of Allentown, PA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, June 3, from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 4, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
