Mrs. Jannelle McCullough Brown, 85, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Memorial Hospital.
Jannelle was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jessie Albert Brown, a son, Randy Stuckey, her parents, Melvin and Bena Mae Collins McCullough, as well as 10 siblings. She had been employed with the Globe Shoe Company for 25 years and later was a home health caregiver. She has been described as "larger than life" who never met a stranger. She will be remembered for her enjoyment of shopping, cooking, gardening, traveling and Christmas decorations, but most of all, her love for her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Kathlene Stapleton (Don), Lynne Lane, Brenda Mikell (J.D.), Terri Sheahan (Joe), Denise Hatcher, Debra Berry (Tom), Melissa Wilder (Al), and Odell Ward (Shellma); 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Mamie Jones, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
The funeral to honor Jannelle's life will be on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. The graveside committal and burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Lake Cemetery on Highway 46 near Metter.
