Jean "Ms. Jean" Waters
Rincon- Jean "Ms. Jean" Waters, 71, went to be with her Lord on March 18, 2015.
The Sylvania native was a member of Rincon Church of God and the co-owner of Ms. Jean's Restaurant. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marnie.
Survivors include her children, Olivia Thompson (Pat), Walt Waters (Tami), Andrea Allsbrook and Kellis Waters (Sigal); grandchildren, Katie Thompson, Tristan, Ashton, Brayden and Lauren Waters, Mackenzie and Makayla Waters; a great-granddaughter, Kylee-Rae Thompson; two sisters, Jeanette Crosby and Amy Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Ms. Jean leaves a long legacy of hospitality and great food. Her recipes and techniques have been instilled in her family, and the traditions will continue for many, many years through Ms. Jean's Restaurant and her family.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, March 20, 2015 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Rincon Church of God.
Interment: Springfield Cemetery Annex.
