March 31, 1943 – January 24, 2026 Jeanne Clark Carter passed away January 24, 2026 at Spanish Oaks Retreat. She was born in Savannah, Georgia, on March 31, 1943, to the late John and Pansy Clark. She was a 1961graduate of H.V. Jenkins High School, where she was honored as Homecoming Queen.Jeanne married her high school sweetheart, the late Charles Weyman Lee, Jr., and the couple moved to Irmo, South Carolina, where they raised their two sons, Richard Edward Lee and Charles Weyman Lee III. During this time, Jeanne worked in an ophthalmology office while dedicating herself to her family. Following the passing of her first husband, Jeanne returned to Savannah with her young sons to be closer to family.In later years, Jeanne met Richard “Dick” Carter, and the two were married on November 10,1990. They shared a love for travel and music, and enjoyed singing together in the choir at Calvary Baptist Temple. Jeanne cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.Jeanne was preceded in death by her second husband, Richard “Dick” Carter, and by her twin brother, Jerry Lewis Clark. She is survived by her sons, Richard Edward Lee (Kellie) and Charles Weyman Lee III (Kim); her grandchildren, Richard Blake Lee, Bryson Nicole Lee,Robert Brett Lee, Josiah Lee, and Jeremiah Lee; as well as several nieces and nephews,extended family members, and dear friends.The family would like to thank Spanish Oaks Retreat and Spanish Oaks Hospice for their excellent care of Jeanne and the family. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association.  A visitation service will be on Wednesday, January 28th from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the funeral service following in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.  Thomas C.
