Obituary

Jeff Mancon Fennel, a beloved husband, father, Da, and friend, passed away surrounded by loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, dedication, faith, and deep love for those he cherished most.

Jeff was a man who truly loved life. He found joy in hunting, fishing, softball, and had a special passion for golfing. Whether on the course or among friends, his competitive spirit was always matched by his sense of fun and humor.

Professionally, Jeff dedicated more than 40 years to the field of Non-Destructive Testing. He earned certification as a Level III and was widely respected for his expertise, integrity, and strong work ethic. He retired from Applied Technical Services after a long and meaningful career.

Above all else, Jeff loved his family. He lived his life grounded in faith and was a faithful member of East Main Street Church of God. To his grandchildren, he was lovingly known as "Da," a role he cherished deeply and one that brought him immense pride and joy.

Jeff was known for his playful spirit and love of pranks, often hiding nearby in hopes of delivering the perfect "scare." His laughter was contagious, and his presence brought joy to those around him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Levi Mancon Fennel; his mother, Irene Sikes Fennel; his brother, Levi Glenn Fennel; and his sister, Loretta Pope Westcott.

Jeff is survived by his beloved wife and faithful caregiver, Terry Fennel; his daughter, Alison (Mike) Holcombe; his son, Wesley (Amy) Fennel; his grandchildren, Mitch (Halee) Rowland, Kaleigh, Michael, and Whitney Holcombe, and Madison and Conner Fennel; his brother, Michael (Kelly) Fennel; and his sister-in-law and loving supporter, Lisa Rowland.

Jeff battled bravely through his illness with strength and determination, showing courage until the very end. His legacy of love, laughter, faith, and resilience will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of Ogeechee Area Hospital for the exceptional care, kindness, and support shown to Jeff and his family.
