Jeffrey Gene Harden, LCDR Retired

Savannah- Jeffrey Gene Harden, LCDR Retired, 65, died Friday , July 1, 2011 at Hospice Savannah.

The Dublin native was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Thomson and was a retired Lt. Commander in the US Navy, having served over 30 years. He had enlisted in 1962 and gained his commission through the Aviation Officers Candidate School in 1972. The Vietnam veteran was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Krista Lewis Harden; son, David Jeffrey Harden; and his parents, Gene & Louis Harden.

Survivors include his son, Adam Harden (Serena) of Springfield; grandson, Ross Harden; and brothers, Greg and Michael Harden, both of Thomson.

Graveside Services will be held (time) on (date) in the Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson.
