Jeffrey Shaufelberger

Rincon - Jeffrey Shaufelberger, 61, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025.

A longtime Effingham County resident, Jeff was passionate about his family and friends. He enjoyed entertaining and spending quality time with loved ones. He cared deeply about providing for his family, especially his grandchildren. He always made himself available if anyone needed anything, and he regularly took time to help his community.

Jeff lived in Effingham for more than four decades, and for many years, he and his father operated a local business, Rincon Tire. He spent the past 20+ years as a realtor, a job he truly loved.

At Coldwell Banker Access Reality, he earned the distinction of being a company-wide top producer. He was also the recipient of many awards. Jeff was a friend to everyone and a beloved family member. He is gone too soon and will be forever missed.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents Jerry and Margaret Shaufelberger and his brother David L. Shaufelberger.

He is survived by his daughter, Candice Gallegos, her husband Nick, three grandchildren, Lucas, Lola and Leo Gallegos, as well as two brothers, Barrett R. Shaufelberger and Jerry C. Shaufelberger, in addition to Jerry's wife, Latina, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 10 am – 12 noon Saturday, September 6, 2025 in the funeral home.
