Jerome "Cliff" Whisler, 91, of Brooklet, GA passed away peacefully on November 22, 2024.
Cliff was born on November 18, 1933 in Mansfield, OH to the son of Max and Mary Whisler.
Cliff grew up in Painesville, Ohio and graduated from Harvey High School in 1951. He then entered Kent State University and earned his B.S. in Business Administration. While in college, he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
Upon leaving college, he joined the US Navy. After leaving the service he was hired at U.S. Gypsum Company as a salesman in the Cleveland area specializing in drywall products.
In 1962, Cliff became a minor partner in Roth Provision Company in Painesville, OH. The company specialized in wholesale meat and canned goods.
In 1968, Cliff moved to Warren and purchased a trailer park. After five years, he sold the trailer park and began buying, selling and renting real estate.
He is survived by his grandchildren, Shannon Muir and husband Danny Muir of Brooklet, GA, Alivia Whisler of Warren, OH, David Brian Whisler and wife Aimee Whisler, of Clayton, NC and Denny Adkins of Cleveland, OH; as well as daughter-in-law, Alysa Whisler of Warren, OH.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Max and Mary Whisler; his sister, Natalie Kumel; daughter's; Deborah Held, and Rebecca Lopez; and son, David Whisler.
His wishes were to be cremated.
