Mrs. Jerriod Rosemary Nall Gilliland (Rosebud)
Savannah-Mrs. Jerriod Rosemary Nall Gilliland, aged 69, died January 1, 2010 under the
care of Hospice Savannah. Her last days were spent surrounded by her family who held
her hand as she made her way to Heaven to meet Jesus. She was born May 26, 1940 to
Jerriod Everett and Manita Louise Nall, in Patterson, Georgia. She and her parents
moved to Savannah, Georgia in 1942 where she lived the rest of her life.
She always told her children that the only job she ever wanted was to be a mother. Her
dream came true five times, one boy and four girls. She did work out of the home and
retired from the City of Savannah Parking Services in 2002. She loved her family
without reservation, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, her sister,
and a very special friend Melvin Moody. The family wishes to thank Mr. Moody for his
untiring help through many years in our family.
"Rosebud" was proceeded in death by her grandmother, Mrs. Leta New, her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. J.E. Nall, her husband, Mr. Herbert Clinton Gilliland, her son James Mark
Farrer, and her very special nephew Jerriod Everett Grizzle. She is survived by her four
daughters Mary Lisa Evans (Kelley), Laurie Elizabeth Crout (William), Shari Christina
Watkins (Brad), and Kathryn Hope Farrer. She is also survived by her sister Gloria Nall
Grizzle (Chad), and her twelve grandchildren, Annie, Lecy, Melissa, Jamie, Linda,
Kathryn, Brandon, Josh, Kathryn K., Schuyler, Jake and Isaac. She had thirteen
great-grandchildren, Jack, Dylan, Carrisa, James, Logan, J.T., David, Abby, Katie, Casey,
Isabella, Carson and Kaidence. She had two pastors that she loved well, Rev. Kenny
Harrelson of Central Baptist Church where she was a member and Rev. Suzanne Cole
Wages, a Hospice chaplain, but also a long time friend. They will be officiating her
service.
She was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (Psalm 14:27)
