Jerry K. Privette, Sr., passed away at home in the log cabin he built for himself and Donna, on February 25, 2025 after a long illness surrounded by his family. He loved golfing, fishing, shooting guns and working on cars. He was born on March 24, 1949 in Wake Forest, North Carolina. Jerry made his home in Savannah, Georgia before moving to Bloomingdale, Georgia 25 years ago. He owned Coastal Painting in Savannah before retiring in 2004. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Alma Privette; three brothers, Charles, Tony and Earl Privette; niece, Lori Privette; sister-in-law, Sherry Hobbs; brother-in-law, Hugo Soto, and his beloved dog, Skittles ! Jerry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Donna Privette; daughter, Angie Burton (Micah); sons, Kenny (Jennifer), Tony (Christi), and Kevin (Brittany) Privette; eleven grandchildren, Brandon (Keira) and Jacob Archer, McKenna, Jensen, and Hayden Privette, Austin, Kira, Lucas, and Scarlett Privette, Evin and Braylen Privette; Honorary grandsons, Timothy and Thomas Bowles, and Gauge Cook; nephews, Josh and Justin Privette, Huey, Daniel, and Jordan Soto; nieces and nephews, Chuck, Shannon, Matt, and Jaime Privette, from Lake City, Florida; two sisters-in-law, Diana Soto and Dale Healan; brother-in-law, Jimmy Healan, as well as several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 West Highway 80 in Pooler, Georgia. A Celebration of Life dinner will immediately follow for friends and family at the home of Jerry and Donna Privette.
