Mr. Jerry Burnell Taylor, Sr., 85, of Pooler, passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his home.

He was born in Ellis Grove, Illinois.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Doris L. "Jack" & Ida Elizabeth Reed Taylor and his step-mother, Nancy Taylor.  He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked at both Life of Georgia Life Insurance Company and Dan Vaden Chevrolet.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Crawford Taylor; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry Burnell Taylor, Jr. & Jan; three daughters and a son-in-law, Shellie Taylor Boudreau & Richard, Karen Elizabeth Taylor and Donna Taylor Anderson; grandchildren, Victoria Keen, Nicholas Turner, Jason Turner, Jerry Burnell Taylor, III, Justin Ross Taylor (deceased), Ashley Reyes Stembridge, Taylor Anderson, Lauren Boudreau LeDonne, and Richard B. Boudreau; great-grandchildren, Lillian Turner, Evelyn Turner, Emily Turner, Justin Taylor, Kaleigh Taylor, Kaleb Stembridge, Austin Stembridge and Ethan Stembridge, and Brooklyn LeDonne; siblings, Gloria Jean Wooters (deceased), Carole Ann Stewart, John Taylor and Jackie Thomas as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of the funeral home.
