Jimmy Leroy Garris, Jr.
Springfield – Jimmy Leroy Garris, Jr., 48, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Born in Sallisaw, OK on July 14, 1964 and was preceded in death by his father in 1966. He was employed with SAIIA Construction.
Survivors include his wife, Katrina Garris; sons, Justin Charles Thompson Garris of Bloomingdale, Jeffrey Clayton Garris (Thad) of Savannah, and Jimmy Leroy Garris, III of Springfield; mother and step-father, Vera Colleen and Louis Jenkins of Guyton; sisters, Donna Lea Young (Lesley) of Tulsa, OK and Julie DeeAnn Reavis (Julius) of Rincon; brother, Jeff Garris (Anita) of Guyton; step-sisters, Debora Jenkins of Guyton and Brenda Blackwood (Don) of Springdale, AR; step-brother, Marty Jenkins (Kay) of Springfield; grandchildren, Shaylan Renee Thompson Garris and Caleb Chandler Curtis; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
