Jimmy Morris
Meldrim- Jimmy Morris, 74, died Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Landmark Hospital.
The Savannah native had worked at Sugar Transport for over 20 years, was a Corporal with the Effingham County Sheriff's Department for 14 years, and served as County Constable for the Effingham County Magistrate Court. He had served in the 165th GA Air National Guard. Jimmy was an avid pilot. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Winifred Morris; his brother, Johnny Morris; and his sister, Beth Jones.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristi Morris; step-daughter, Kim Smith; and other relatives.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 3 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
