POOLER: Rev. Joe T. White was born on October 25, 1931 in Brooklet, GA. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 7, 2010.
Joe retired from the CSX Railroad after 31 years of service. He retired from pastoral ministry after 17 years and retired after 17 years from truck driving. He was a faithful husband, father and servant of the Lord.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Holton White, his children, Tommy (Gail) White, Joann (Kevin) Garman and Vicki (David) Elliott; children by marriage, David (Dale), Mark (Linda), Tommy (Jan), Bill (Polly), Richard (Terri) and Ken (Lori) Pritchard, Nancy Morris and Kay (Rollie) Sessions; brother, Bobby White; twenty-eight grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 8, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah.
In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Missions Department at Fellowship Assembly of God Church, 5224 Augusta Road, Garden City, GA 31408.
