Pooler-Mr. John William "Bill" Lee, Jr., 67, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
Bill was born in Savannah to the late John William Lee, Sr. and Mary Catherine Lee. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple in Savannah and volunteered as a mentor and a security guard at Calvary Day School. He served in the 165th Air National Guard, was a member of Landrum Masonic Lodge, # 48, Scottish Rite and the Alee Temple. He was a Boilermaker with Local #26 and retired from the Milton J. Wood Company.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry & Tom Adams of Rincon and Karen & Darryl Schwalls of Pooler; step-son and his wife, Gary & Jessica Javo of Savannah; companion, Sherry Pittman Lee of Savannah; brother and sister-in-law, Terry & Vickie Lee of Rincon; four grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild and three nieces.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Bonaventure Cemetery.
