Obituary

John Stephen Clark, 61, of Statesboro, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Memorial Hospital.

John Stephen was born in Savannah to the late Richard Clark, Sr. and Hilda Fietkau Clark.  He loved airplanes, everything from retiring from Gulfstream after 34 years of service to building remote control airplanes, to flying experimental aircraft.  He had a great sense of humor, enjoyed gaming, and loved his animals.  But most of all, he will be remembered for being a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Lynn Phillips Clark; two daughters, Nikki C. Fayville (husband-Jerome, deceased) and Marcey Clark Conner (David); grandchildren, Jacob Michael Fayville and Sarah Nicole Conner; brother, Richard Clark, Jr.; sister, Lucy Jamieson (Jeff); sister-in-law, Darlene Miller (Tom); brother-in-law, Mark Berry (Kim); mother-in-law, Mary Phillips; several nieces, one nephew, and many cousins.

The visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor John Stephen's life will follow at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.

Remembrances may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105 or Wounded Warrior Project at woundedwarriorproject.org.
