Mr. John Peter Cooler
Guyton – Mr. John Peter Cooler, 92, passed away February 3, 2016 at Magnolia Manor in Richmond Hill.
The Chatham County native was a U.S. Army WWII veteran, member of New Providence Baptist Church, served in the Gideons for many years, and was a roofer.
Survivors include his wife, Dot Cooler; children, John P. Cooler, Jr. (Rae Ann) of Waycross, Deryl Greenway (Donnie) of Rincon, and Esther Godbee (Michael) of Reidsville; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 12 noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 1 p.m. in the chapel.
Private interment will be in Guyton Cemetery.
Remembrances may be given to the Gideons, P.O. Box 618, Rincon, GA 31326.
