John Highsmith
Guyton- John Highsmith, 62, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Effingham Hospital.
The avid fisherman was a deacon at South Effingham Community Church and an active member of G.A.P. ministries. He had retired from the Air National Guard 165th. He was preceded in death by his brother, William V. Highsmith.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Lorayne Trussell Highsmith; daughter, Maggie Highsmith Nary (Jonathan); sister, Jeannie Vales (Frank); and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 6-8 pm Friday, February 8, 2013 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 am Saturday at South Effingham Community Church.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim
