John Howard Royer, Sr.
Guyton – John Howard Royer, Sr., 81, passed away Friday, April 13, 2012 at his residence.
The Alabama native served in the U.S. Marines and retired from Arizona Chemical. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ennis Royer and Fluadie M. Royer , wife, Grace Royer, and son, Greg Royer.
Survivors include his sons, John H. Royer, Jr. (Brenda) of Guyton, Chris Royer (Martha Lou) of Douglas, and Douglas Royer of Guyton; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie (Wendell) Hodges of Savannah, Austine Smith of Rincon, Wilma Green of Spartanburg, SC, Juanita (Wilson) Myrick of Guyton; brother, Gene (Marian) Royer of Meldrim; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 3 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Meldrim.
Remembrances may be given to Island Hospice, 3 West Perry Street, Savannah, GA 31401.
