Rincon- John J. Snowden, 54, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Effingham Hospital.

The Bronx, New York native had served in the US Coast Guard and was a retired meat department manager from Publix Supermarkets.  He truly loved his family and loved spending time with them. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. John had an exuberant personality and a love for a good joke. John was a friend to all. Behind his stoic exterior, he was a person willing to place himself second to anyone in need.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce N. Snowden.

Survivors include his wife, Tami Snowden; children, Bryan Snowden, Blake Snowden, and Brooke Snowden; his mother, Virginia Snowden; brothers, Christopher Snowden (Syrley) and Tom Snowden (Anabel); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: 6-8 pm Monday, November 27, 2023 in the funeral home.

Memorial Service: 1 pm Tuesday, November 28, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.
