Bloomingdale-Mr. John Edward Wade, Sr., 87, died on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Hospice Savannah.
John was a World War II Veteran and retired from Local 508 IBEW. He was a 32nd Degree Mason at Landrum Lodge and a member and Deacon of the South Newington Baptist Church.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Frances Wade of Bloomingdale; sons, John E. Wade, Jr. (Martha) of Bloomingdale and James D. Wade (Linda) of Pooler; five grandchildren, Jonathan, Brian and Lance Wade, all of Bloomingdale, Jan Starling of Pooler and Jared Wade of Guyton; six great-grandchildren, Kristen, Gracie, Lane, Carley, Coleman and Abby.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery on Dean Forest Road.
