Mr. Johnnie F. "Jack" Mintz, Jr., 92, of Pooler, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Pruitt Health in Savannah, Georgia.

Jack was born in Bessemer City, North Carolina to the late Johnnie F. Mintz, Sr. and Catherine Louise Scurry Mintz.  He lived in Sanford, North Carolina for a number of years where he was a custom home builder, notably in the Woodlake Country Club area.  He was a graduate of GA Tech and was employed for a number of years at Leer Jet.  He enjoyed golfing, will be remembered as a hard worker, and was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Faye Peck Mintz; children, Billie Ann Hill, Cathy Mintz and her son, Derek, and her daughter, Tyler, Jeanette and Kevin Taylor, Jeffery and Tracy Simerson;  grandchildren, Amy and Brad Berry, Megan T. and Taylor Lucas, Christopher J. Taylor, Conner McElroy, and Maleah Simerson; great-grandchildren, Fischer J. Lucas, Caroline Faye Lucas, Gavin Berry, Jayceon Simerson; and his beloved shih tzu, Chloe.

The visitation will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 2:30 until 3 p.m. at the funeral home with the memorial service to honor Jack's life following at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
