Obituary
Johnnie Mae "Major" Yarbrough, 67, of Bloomingdale and wife of Robert L. Yarbrough passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Candler Hospital in Savannah.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born on December 2, 1946 in Pinson, Alabama. She lived in Savannah for several years before moving to Bloomingdale in the mid 1970's. Mrs. Yarbrough was a member of the Faulkville Baptist Church and loved to crochet. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Timothy Moore.
Surviving are her husband, Robert L. Yarbrough of Bloomingdale; four daughters, Sherry Rogers of Snyder, Texas, Laura Wilson(Danny) of Pooler, Robin Wallis of Port Wentworth, and Christy Rought(Paul) of Rincon; a son, Michael Yarbrough of Ellabell; her mother, Esther Mae Jones of Pooler; three sisters, Shirley Young of Bloomingdale, Dorothy Fennell of Savannah, and Marilyn Brown of Bloomingdale; two brothers, Larry Fennell of Guyton and Billy Fennell of Savannah; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: 5-7 Thursday at the funeral home.
The memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
