Johnny Chant, 62, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Memorial Hospital.

Johnny was born in Savannah and was preceded in death by his father, William John "Bill" Chant, his brother, Thomas Michael Chant, and his maternal grandparents, Joseph Michael Carter and Thelma Carter Whiddon.  Johnny was employed at Rewis Security Agency.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and dune buggy, traveling to the Smokey Mountains, outdoors, and history.  Most of all, he loved his daughters.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Aubrey Chant Grant (Marcus) and Madeline Chant Rismiller, and his mother, Mary Alice Carter Chant.

The visitation will be on Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church located at 501 South Coastal Highway in Port Wentworth. The service to honor Johnny's life will follow at 2 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church.
