Guyton-John "Sherloc" Holifield, 22, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 as a result
of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
John was born in Fort Hood, TX and had lived in Hannibal, MO before moving to
Guyton. He was employed with Savannah Harley Davidson and enjoyed living life to the
fullest. John was loyal, faithful and a true friend. He was an awesome brother and loved
little people. John was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Rosemarie Stearly and
Barbara C. Holifield.
Survivors include his mother, Michelle M. Beck of Hannibal, MO; father and
step-mother, Dean Holifield, Jr. and Ann of Guyton; siblings, Christine Lynn Choronzy,
Serenity Ann Holifield, Harold Dean Holifield, III, Charles Nolan Holifield and Abigail
Lee Beck; grandfathers, Howard M. Morris of Ocala, FL and Harold D. Holifield of Port
Wentworth and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
The memorial service to honor John's life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday in the chapel of
the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, 901 West Highway 80, Pooler, GA
31322.
