Mr. Joseph David Wilson "Joe", 76, passed away on June 1, 2022 at Pruitt Health in Port Wentworth, GA.

Joe was born in Metter, GA on April 23, 1946 to the late Johnnie S. and Bertha M. Chester Wilson.  Joe lived in the Silk Hope area of Chatham County since 1959 until he went to Pruitt Health in late December of 2021.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Pete Wilson, a nephew, Donald Wilson, and a niece, Mae Reynolds.

He is survived by two brothers, Earl Wilson (Nancy), and Henry Wilson (Jane), both of the Silk Hope area in Chatham County; two sisters, Faye Cobb (Johnny) of Faulkville-Bloomingdale, GA, and Sue Smith of Ellabell, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be from 10 until 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the funeral home.  The funeral will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
