Bloomingdale-Mr. Joseph D. Kelly, Sr., 87, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2015.
Mr. Kelly was born in Yoakum, TX and was preceded in death by a son, Robert Kelly, a son, Stephen Ellis, Jr. and two sisters, Maureen Chandler, and Doris Riley. He retired as a Master Sgt. From the United States Air Force, and also retired from Gulfstream after 15 years of service. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and enjoyed his family, wood working and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Linda Kelly; children, Joseph D. Kelly, Jr. (Roslyn); Michelle Lowe (Blair), Mary Kelly (John Anderson), and Amanda Kelly; daughter-in-law, Benae Ellis; grandchildren, Chris Kelly, Hale E. Kelly, Sherry Thomson, Jeremy Smith, Madilyn Smith, Eliza Lowe, Lydia Anderson, and Autumn Ellis; sister, Dorothy Ward, brothers, Curtis Kelly, and Lloyd Kelly, and a number of nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at 4 p.m. on Friday at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901 W. Hwy. 80 in Pooler.
