Mr. Joseph Scarso
Rincon-Mr. Joseph Scarso, 83, passed away Tuesday December 6, 2011 at Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
He was a native of Cleveland, Ohio and worked at Grumman as a Light Aircraft Engineer. He moved to Savannah to come to work for Gulfstream and retired after 21 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Emmanuel Scarso; 2 sons, Dennis and Dana Scarso of Cleveland, Ohio; daughter, Luciee Rogers Deloach of Blairsville, Georgia; brother, Richard Scarso; and a sister.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Othell Thompson Scarso; sons, Greg (Leisha) Rogers, George (Kathy) Rogers; daughters, Terri (Ricky) Smith, Janice Scarso; grandchildren, Logan Scarso, Jason (Sarah) Rogers, Justin Rogers, Josh Smith, Whitney Smith, Shelli Nicholson; daughter-in-law, Maryllis Scarso; son-in-law, Frank Deloach; great-grandchildren, Malena Nicholson and Ella Korff.
Visitation will be 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home followed by funeral services at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel.
Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
