Bloomingdale-Mr. Joseph "Joey" Walker, 65, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
Joey was born in Savannah to the late John E. & Mildred A. Walker. He retired from IBEW Local 508 as an electrician as well as serving as the Apprenticeship Training Director and the Union Organizer. He enjoyed racing, fishing, crabbing, and camping.
Survivors include his wife, Jackie Todd Walker; son and daughter-in-law, Edward Shane & Nicole Walker; grandchildren, Christie Duran, Frankie Dodd, Teri Powell, and Kelsie Towson; brothers and sisters; Johnny & Karen Walker, Robbie & Leslie Walker, Larry & Marie Walker, Danny Walker , Patsy Walker Jones, Willa Hernandez, and Katie Pike; father-in-law and mother-in-law, E.H. "Bubba" Todd, Jr. (deceased) & Marie Todd "Baby Doll"; brothers and sisters-in-law, Linda & Tommy Greenway, Buddy & JoAnn Todd, Mike Todd, Peggy Hendley (deceased), and John Todd (deceased); a number of nieces and nephews; Joey's lifelong friends, Bill Borders and Walter Moody; and his beloved dog, Izzie.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Funeral: 1:30 p.m. on Friday in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be private.
