Springfield – Joy Ann Smiley Shuman, 63, passed away March 4, 2021 at East GA Regional Medical Center.

The Jesup native retired from Rutland Tire and had worked at Dr. Hamby's office and always enjoyed working.  She enjoyed playing music when she was younger, playing bingo with her mother, and was very family oriented.  She was a loving caretaker for everyone.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ray Smiley, Sr.

Survivors include her husband, Ricky Shuman; her mother, Joyce Arlene Anderson; children, Joshua Wade Collins, Justin Michael Collins, Rick Shuman (Dana Smiley), Brandi Smith, Kimberly Murray (Kiley), Joshua Shuman (Marly), Jordan Shuman (MacKenzie Payne); 17 grandchildren; brother, Ray Smiley, Jr. (Kenna).

Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2021 in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Effingham Memorial Gardens.
