Joy Stahl

Mrs. Joy Stahl, 78, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026 at her home.

Joy will be missed by her son, Stephen Stahl (Jennifer); grandsons, Chris Stahl, Jr., Nick Stahl, Colby Stahl, and Ryan Stahl; siblings, Deborah Heddendorf, Mary Lee, Jack Murray, Billy Murray (Carol), and Keith Murray (DeAnna); daughter-in-law, Kati Graham, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Arthur M. “Art” Stahl, Sr.; two sons, Arthur M. “Marty” Stahl, Jr. and Chris Stahl; parents, Horace “Spud” Murray and Kathleen “Kat” Murray; brother, Bobby Murray. She and her husband were very active and were founding members of Gateway Church. She will be remembered for being a strong loving mother, a fighter, very neat and clean, being a great cook who also made the best sweet tea. She was always very protective of her sons and was also a “mom” to a lot of people. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She will be missed.

The visitation will be on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral to honor Joy’s life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
