Guyton – Joyce Rahn Canady, 84, passed away January 6, 2024 at her residence.

The Chatham County native retired from Chatham County Board of Education.  She was a very active member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and the W.M.U.  She loved her family, doing yard work, and baking.  She made the best sour cream pound cake in the county.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Joseph Rahn and Ruby Shuman Rahn; and her husband, Frank Ronald Canady.

Survivors include her children, Teresa Dasher (Randall), Sharon Jenkins, and Shawn Ronald Canady (Tina); 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Gail Smith and Nancy Holton; brother, Wayne Rahn; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Sand Hill Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 11 a.m. in the church.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
