Mrs. Joyce M. Dadisman, 84, of Pooler, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her home.

Joyce was born in Quantico, VA on September 18, 1938 to the late George Massy Shuler and Sallie Price Shuler.  She grew up in Beaufort, SC and after high school, attended Palmer Business College and took extension courses at USC in clerical, typing, short hand, and book keeping.  Over the years she worked at an insurance company, a car dealership and various hotels on Hilton Head Island, Bermuda, Charleston, and California.  As a Marine's wife she and her husband moved from the west coast to the east coast serving at Camp Lejeune, Lansing, MI, Quantico, and Paris Island.  After Don's retirement from the Marine Corps, they lived in Summerville, SC for 23 years, and Pooler for the past 19 years so that she could be near her granddaughters.  In Lansing, she was a southern girl who learned to drive in the snow, ice skate, tobagan, and camping.  Her favorite place was the beach.  She retired from Mead Westvaco.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Pooler where she served on various committees.  She enjoyed making stained glass, jewelry, camping, traveling, and watching NASCAR on TV.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Donald W. Dadisman; daughter and son-in-law, Angela & Danny Alderman; son, Kenny Dadisman; granddaughters, Joyce and Hope Alderman.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church – Brown Bag – 320 Benton Drive, Pooler, GA  31322 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105.

The visitation for Joyce will be on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.  The memorial service to honor Joyce's life will follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Tom Dent officiating.
