Joyce Anne (Joy) Burgstiner Brown

We called her Joy. She was born on May 7,1959 to Jean and Burney Burgstiner. True to her name, she brought so much joy to her family and all who knew her.  We will always hold dear her genuine heart and deep desire to help those who were hurting. She always made time to listen with love.

Joy was active in church and sang in the choir. She was passionate about baking and quite famous for her sweet potato souffle. Her strong faith in the Lord influenced her children to follow Jesus and seek His will for their lives.

Her best and most cherished role in life was Mother to her children, Jeremy, Brittani, and Kimberly Brown and Kayli and Josh Waters. She had a special name for each of her children symbolizing their spirit to her. Jeremy was her Eagle, Kimberly her butterfly, Brittani her Dove, and Kayli her angel.

She adored her eight Grandchildren and treasured her time with each of them. Carson, Kenzie, Gracelyn, Kolby, Kyzer, Maddie, Oliver and Kanen.

Joy will be deeply missed by her siblings: Elarbee and Terri, Dot, Donna, and George.

Joy left this world peacefully on February 10, 2024, surrounded by her children and is now at Home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at Rincon Church of God followed by a memorial service beginning at 6 p.m.
