Bloomingdale-Mrs. Juanita "Nita" Stahl, 79, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2017, after an extended illness.
Juanita was the daughter of the late A.J. & Hattie Towles. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Pamela Jean Wilkes, and her former husband, Jimmy Jones. Juanita loved horses, and was a great horsewoman. She was a member of the Westside Saddle Club for over 25years. She won many awards for her horsemanship and showed horses with the AQHA and open shows. She was a great friend and will be missed by many who loved her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bloomingdale.
Survivors include her husband, George T. Stahl; daughter, Tammy Wilkes Watson (Chip); granddaughter, Melanie Wu (Dahchin); great-grandchildren, Leah and Jacob Wu; step-children, Mark Jones, Patrick (Andrea) Jones, Kelly (Keith) Rogers, and Nancy (Steve) Dawson; seven step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
The visitation will be on Wednesday from 12:30 until 1:30 at the funeral home with the funeral to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home located at 901. W. Hwy. 80, Pooler, GA. Burial will follow at Westside Memorial Gardens.
Remembrances may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
