Rincon – Judy (Julieta) Blas Hames, 84, passed away January 28, 2023 at Effingham Hospital.

The California native was of the Catholic faith and attended St. Boniface Catholic Church and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.  She was a homemaker and bookkeeper in the family business.  She enjoyed working out at the Y.M.C.A., volunteering at the Manna House, and was a member of the Rincon Garden Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Blas and Teresa Pen~a Blas; husband, John Frederick Hames, Sr.; and 8 siblings, Marie, John, Lupe', Ellie, Tony, Dolores, Manual, and Teresa.

Survivors include her children, John F. Hames, Jr., Jeff Hames (Tammy), Jennifer Huczko (Scott), and Jacquie McGrath (Andrew); siblings, Isabel Hayward, Joseph Blas, and Ellen Siegenthaler; grandchildren, Jonathan, Lindsay, Andrew, Stephen, Meaghan, and Michael; great-grandchildren, Kylie, Avery, Maddox, Beckett, and Jackson.

Rosary service will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 in the funeral home chapel.  Memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.
