Mrs. Judy Thomas Bolen, 69, of Ellabell, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at her home with her husband at her side.

Judy was born in Walterboro, South Carolina and had lived in Ellabell for over 20 years.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Genie Thomas and her brother, Lonnie Thomas, all of Walterboro, South Carolina.  She and her husband were co-owners/operators of R&J Transport of Ellabell, Georgia.  Judy enjoyed traveling and had many adventures with her husband that took her to Italy, France and Hawaii to name a few.  She loved taking cruises and saw many parts of this world.  Life was just an exciting adventure for her.  She enjoyed gardening, especially her roses, but loved all types of plants, she just enjoyed watching them bloom.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Richard Bolen of Ellabell; a sister-in-law, Lana McDonald, nieces, Lanice Smolar and Lauren O'Rourke, all of Mobile, Alabama, a niece and a nephew Leslie Bishop, and Hunter Thomas of South Carolina, and many friends that she touched their lives over the years.

The memorial service to honor Judy's life will be on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.
