Judy Carol Cannon

Guyton – Judy Carol Cannon, passed away on May 19, 2026 at Memorial Health.

The Sardis, GA native was a retired bus driver and substitute teacher with the Effingham County Board of Education. She was a member of North Salem Baptist Church and a 1965 graduate of Groves High School. She loved her family but especially her grandsons.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Julian & Kathryn Herrington; and her brother, David Herrington.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Cannon; her daughters, Celena Cannon and Julie Rickman (Erick); grandsons, Conor Rickman, Nathan Rickman, and Liam Rickman (Eryn Meadows); three sisters, Kay Forehand (Dewayne), Jean Pittman (Ernie), and Stephanie Hobbs; a brother, Jack Herrington (Andrea); and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10 – 11 am Friday May 22, 2026 at North Salem Baptist Church.

Funeral: 11 am Friday May 22, 2026 in North Salem Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery.

Officiating will be Rev. Drew Whaley.  Pall Bearers will be, Erick Rickman, Conor Rickman, Liam Rickman, Clint Forehand, Jason Heath, and Tommy Long.
