Judy Nelson, 84, passed away on May 30, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Judy spent her whole life as an educator.  She was a teacher then became the principal of Savannah Christian School and then the director of Sylvan Learning Center.  Judy was also a Charter Member of White Bluff United Methodist Church.  She loved to spend time with her granddaughters and will be greatly missed.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Eustace and Georgia Carter.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Carl Manson Nelson; sons, Carl Manson Nelson, Jr. and Bruce Jacob Nelson (Ava); granddaughters, Audrey Hauser (Chris) and Casey Butler (Chris); great-grandchild, Bailey Hauser; sister, Randee Powell (Richard); brother, Cliff Carter (Jonette); and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor her life will be on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial following at Bonaventure Cemetery.
