Mrs. Julia Jones, 81, of Guyton, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at her home.

Julia will be missed by her three children, Ronald Bolen (Deborah), Janice Williams (Terry), and Tammy Dodd (Ronny McClendon); eleven grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Julia was born in Bamberg, South Carolina and had lived in Guyton for a number of years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Carson Bolen; son, Curtis Bolen; parents, Russell Jones and Alma Bell Gillespie; siblings, Sadie Johnson, Earl Jones, and Edward Jones; son-in-law, Greg Dodd.  Julia was a member of Meldrim Baptist Church, had formerly been the manager of the Subway in Faulkville, and enjoyed crocheting.  She will be remembered for being sassy, a spitfire and short, but mighty.  Julia will be missed by her family and friends.

The visitation will be on Thursday, December 4, 2025 from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  The funeral to honor Julia's life will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.  Pastor Deek Douberly will officiate.  The pallbearers will be Jeremy Bolen, Shane Dodd, Justin Vinton, Corey Caldwell, and Aaron Soucy.
