Julia Adell (Mama Dell) Crabb, died of natural causes on Saturday, November 12, 2022.  She was 95 years old.

She was born in Blythe, Georgia on July 4, 1927.  She was the eldest of 4 sisters born to Harvey and Myrtis Newman.  Over the years the family moved to the Savannah, Georgia area, where she married William Clifford Crabb on May 21, 1949.  They had 4 children whom she loved and devoted her life to.  Mama Dell always loved children and had a God given way to calm the fussiest baby.  She was given the opportunity to care for babies and toddlers in the nursery at Neptune Baptist Church.  She rocked, held, and loved on babies and little ones there for many years.

Julia is survived by her children, Judy Stegin (Joe), Cliff Crabb (Becky), Cheryl Frank (Wes), and Jerry Crabb (Laura); grandchildren, Joey Stegin, Justin Stegin, Drew Crabb, William Fontana, Wesley Fontana, Ryan Crabb, Ben Frank, Nathan Frank, Ash Frank,, Aubrey Crabb, and Zak Crabb; great-grandchildren, Waylon Stegin, Noah Fontanta, and Rylee Fontana; sisters, Nell Barrow, Martha Conner, Patsy Greenway; sister's and a brother-in-law, Ray Hatfield, Betty Carbo, and Wanda Stuckey.

A celebration of her life will be held at Neptune Baptist Church on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at 2 p.m.  The graveside service and burial will be held at Rincon Cemetery on Lexington Avenue in Rincon, Georgia on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 2 p.m.
