June Rose Brinkley Dillon

June Dillon, 93, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2021 at Effingham Care Center.

She was born in Denver, CO on June 8, 1927, to Thomas and Katherine Brinkley. She was a teacher and a librarian for most of her working life. She was always giving and loved to help others. She enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Rincon where she enjoyed attending church and Sunday School, worshiping and fellowship. She loved to read, especially her Bible.

In her later years at the Effingham Care Center, she enjoyed listening to the gospel singing groups that came, especially the Jolly Singers from her church. One of her past times was playing bingo and talking to her friends. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her daughter Dorothy Brown (Ron) of Rincon, GA; her son Charles Dillon (Nora) of Modesto, CA; granddaughters Heather Jenkins (Russ), Melissa Hugghins (Mike) and Stephanie Bennett (Shawn), Great- Grandchildren Emma, Eli, and Luke Jenkins, Jack and Ben Hugghins, and Jason and Kendall Bennett.

A graveside funeral service will be held at Effingham Memorial Gardens in Springfield, GA on Wednesday, March 24 ^th at 2:00 P.M.

A special thanks to the Effingham Care Center for the excellent love and care she received from them for the 7 years she was a resident.
