Rincon- SFC Junior F. "Papa" Glasson, 86, died Thursday, November 27, 2014 at Candler Hospital.
The Nelson, NE native was retired as Sergeant First Class US Army. He was the Class of 1946 Nebraska State Boxing Champion and was a huge college football fan, especially his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers. He also retired as custodian for the Nelson School System. The willful and spirited man loved to go and loved to help others.
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Bodiford (Steve); granddaughter, Wendy Saxon (Greg); grandson, Joseph Bodiford (Michelle); 4 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; 5 step-children; and numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 3-4 pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the funeral home.
Funeral: 4 pm Sunday, November 30, 2014 in the funeral home chapel.
Interment: Nelson Cemetery in Nebraska
