Justin Charles Thompson-Garris
Bloomingdale – Justin Charles Thompson-Garris, 32, passed away February 21, 2016.
He was a lifelong resident of Effingham County and was employed with SFC Contract Services. He had an insatiable zest for life, and a deep love for his family, friends, and especially his daughter, Shaylan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Leroy Garris, Jr. and his maternal grandparents Marilyn and Hubert Roberts.
Survivors include his daughter, Shaylan Thompson-Garris; his mother, Sharon Elkins (Mark); brothers, Jeffrey Clayton Thompson-Garris (Thad) and Jimmy Leroy Garris, III "Trey" (Chainey); fiancee, Pam Garnto; half-brothers, Charlie Thompson and Jake Thompson; grandparents, Colleen and Louis Jenkins, Maudeline and J.C. Thompson, and Otis and Sarah Lowery; his father, Jimmy Charles Thompson; his step-mother, Katrina Crawford; a nephew, Caleb Garris; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and a multitude of friends, including his lifelong best friend, Thomas Burke.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.
