K. Allen Tapley
Pooler-K. Allen Tapley, 33, died on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at the Ralph Johnson
Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston, SC.
Allen was born in Durham, NC and was reared in Hardeeville, SC. He was
self-employed in the film industry in Georgia and Texas. He was a member of the First
Baptist Church of Hardeeville and served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a
devoted husband and father.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Tapley of Pooler; sons, Aaron and Tommy Tapley of
Pooler; parents, Kenneth M. & Maurene Tapley of Pooler; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa
and Mark Wheldon of Jacksonville, FL; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Dolores
Thornton of Port Lavaca, TX; brother-in-law, Thomas Thornton of Victoria, TX; nieces,
Emily Wheldon and Madison Thornton and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorial Service: 11 a.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church of Hardeeville located at
13 East Main Street.
In lieu of flowers a fund has been established for the children at First Chatham Bank
Godley Station in Pooler, GA. Donations should be made to The Aaron and Thomas
Tapley Benevolent Fund and mailed to 1234 Big Bend Road, Pooler, GA 31322 so that
acknowledgements can be made.
