Mrs. Karen Elizabeth Burroughs, 68, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025.

She is going to be missed by her son and daughter-in-law, John Ashley Burroughs (Michelle Serbia); she was a loving sister to Rebecca Davis (Sam-deceased), Terrie Smith (Billy), Judy Acker (Jeff), and Steve Cox; several nieces and nephews, as well as her pets, Tiger, Nash, and Forest.

Karen was born in Beckley, West Virginia and had lived in Bloomingdale for a number of years.  She was a faithful member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and retired as a biology teacher from Groves High School where she was an inspiring teacher.  She enjoyed packing shoeboxes for Samaritan's Purse Shoebox Ministry, she enjoyed putting together puzzles, and whopping your butt playing UNO.

The service to honor Karen's life will be on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with Pastor Dwain Dasher and Karen's son, John Ashley Burroughs, officiating.
